Every October, NOISE hosts a series of talks from professionals working in creative, arts and cultural jobs.

Experienced professionals working in the arts, creative and cultural industries talk about

  • How they got to where they are today and
  • What they have learned from their experiences
  • Options available to those currently considering what to study upon leaving school.

Topics have included

  • Graphic, product & web design
  • Music composition & visual arts in video games
  • Film & animation and more

Yvonne Kinsella Interview

Yvonne is a mother of two, a journalist, author, ghost writer and TV Producer and has worked as a radio reporter on Newstalk Radio. She started her career in the media 16 years ago as a journalist in The Tallaght Echo newspaper.  She was born in the Liberties in Dublin and lived for many years in Springfield in Tallaght, attending secondary school at St Marks Community School. Yvonne attended college at the Institute of Technology Tallaght, studying Public Relations, including journalism and film studies.

She has given talks nationwide on the media, how to tell a story, the importance of thorough and accurate research, getting published as a journalist and getting your manuscript to catch the attention of a publisher.

She will be one of the featured speakers at Noise Careers: "Careers in Radio, Television & Journalism", which takes place in Tallaght Library from 5.30 to 7pm on Monday 13th October.
