Call out for participants for RUA RED Young Curators 2015

RUA RED South Dublin Arts Centre is looking for applications to take part in the 2015 RUA RED Young Curators project. The project will include visiting various art spaces, meeting with successful curators and finally, as a collaborative group, curating an exhibition for RUA RED. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and have a strong interest in art.

The project will run over 12 Saturdays, commencing in January and finishing in June. There will be an introduction day on December 13th to talk about the plans for the
project and meet with other team members.

Submissions of interest are due by the 25th of November. Please send in a CV and 200 words outlining your reasons for applying and any relevant experience you might have to rfitzpatrick@ruared.ie

Successful applicants will be notified by the 1st of December. There will be a registration fee of €25 for successful applicants and this will cover all costs for the
project including food, travel and any other costs that might arise.

This year’s Young Curators project saw the current group of 9 young curators work with RUA RED and the OPW to curate the touring exhibition Unfold. This exhibition and Young Curators project have been a great success. Unfold is currently still touring and has been exhibited so far in RUA RED, Sean Hollywood Arts Centre Newry, Great Hall in Stormont and is still to travel to the Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon.
