Kama Dominika Bugala is one of our EMERGENCE Young Choreographers

This will be Kama's second year taking part in the EMERGENCE programme. She previously co – choreographed and performed a duet with Eoin O’Loughlin as part of EMERGENCE Young Choreographers Programme 2019.

Kama has trained in Irish dance and RAD Ballet with Brocklebank Academy of Dance. Since 2016 she has been a member of Dublin Youth Dance Company under the direction of DYDC Artistic Director, Mariam Ribon. Kama also trains with Tribe Fitness Dance Studio.

Kama is hoping to use EMERGENCE as a platform to showcase her work as a young, mature dance artist. She is keen to focus on her choreographic development with guidance and support of the EMERGENCE Mentors.

Past performance and choreographic experiences included Irish Youth Dance Festival, Festival of Irish Choreographers at Project Arts Centre, Liz Roche's Näher…closer, nearer, sooner as a Senior Dancers from Dublin Youth Dance Company.

Kama's work is influenced by observing everyday life situations. She says 'I like observing how differently people move and I usually imitate their way of walking and try to imagine how they live.'
