The Creative Campus '15 Exhibition was officially opened by Mayor of South County Dublin, Fintan Warfield. It was a great success with many in attendance including artists, their family and friends, fellow students from NCAD, staff from TCA and participant and staff of Dominics Community Centre, along with many other invited guests.

Catherine Barragry is a Dublin-based artist who works in sculpture, performance and immersive events. Catherine has worked in a variety of community situations as an artist and facilitator and is interested in situating contemporary art in society through grassroots action and discussion.

For Creative Campus’15, NCAD students are working with Dominic’s Community Centre; a vibrant local resource in Tallaght with an ongoing commitment to community development, intergenerational work and the arts.

What really attracted me to Creative Campus was the possibility of mentoring art students to create art work in an amazing public building used by a vast array of different people.

This year Creative Campus’14 is addressing the theme of ‘Library’. This year’s participating artists will think of themselves as visual storytellers, information givers, a point of access into contemporary art, authors, narrators, biographers, collaborators, their stories can be tiny, hidden between pages or all engulfing epic in your face pop out fiction.
